Avaya passive tap phone recording solutions are typically wired in between the punch blocks connecting the digital set and the Avaya PBX Line Card. Station Side Passive Tap call recording can capture all traffic to and from the workstation allowing D-Channel information to be analyzed along with the phone conversations.
Station side passive tap is an excellent solution for call logging, liability call recording and compliance call recording.
Using this method, cc: Discover can deliver a solution to record phone conversations and desktop screen capture, and can be a full front-to-back quality management solution. All if this functionality is available without the need for CTI.
A passive tap is achieved through a punch down to each workstation/phone line between the Avaya phone system and the phone, most commonly at the 110-block or the 66-block. This type of tap can capture all information transmitted between the phone and Avaya, including internal phone-to-phone calls that are not carried between the demarcation point and the ACD/PBX.
